Mimi Lamar (born in November 2002) has been dancing since she was 8 Years old. She took her first ballet class at Mckinney Dance Academy in Mckinney, TX. She later moved to Hathaway Academy of Ballet where she studied with Linda Hathaway and Linda Brown. Mimi then studied at the Ballet Academy of Texas in Coppell, TX where she studied ballet under Lisa Slagle, Allan Kinzie and Jenny Johnston from March of 2014-Jan of 2018. She also studied tap, jazz and modern dance with Tammie Reinsch and Darrell Cleveland. While at BAT Mimi was an apprentice of the Ballet Ensemble of Texas for the 2016-2017 season. She was a full company member beginning in the fall of 2017.

Mimi has been competing in the Yourth America Grand Prix since the age of 11. In 2017 Mimi placed in the top 12 in the Junior Women's Classical Dance Category with her solo "Cupid" from Don Quixote at the Dallas YAGP Semi-Finals and was invited to the 2017 YAPG NY Finals competition. In 2018 Mimi received a 3rd place award in the Senior Women's Classical Solo Dance Category at the Dallas YAGP Semi-finals with an "Odalisque Variation" from "Le Corsaire". She was invited to the 2018 YAGP NY Finals competition.

Mimi is currently studying at a prestigious Ballet Conservatory High School in Florida on a full tuition scholarship.
