Due to this prior relationship with Abby Lee Miller, JoJo was brought onto the Abby Lee Dance Company's junior elite competition team as a guest during season 5 of ''Dance Moms'' and finally secured a permanent spot on the team in season 6. The Siwa family left the show during season 6.5 to pursue other jobs, mostly for Nickelodeon.
