Due to this prior relationship with Abby Lee Miller, JoJo was brought onto the Abby Lee Dance Company's junior elite competition team as a guest during season 5 of ''Dance Moms'' and finally secured a permanent spot on the team in season 6. On the show, JoJo's biggest competitor was [[Mackenzie Ziegler]], as they are close in age and often competed head to head in the solo category. The Siwa family left the show during season 6.5 to pursue other jobs, mostly for Nickelodeon.
