In 2016, Avery auditioned for ''So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation'' alongside fellow young dancers and colleagues [[Ava Cota]], [[Bostyn Brown]], [[Tate McRae]], [[Gavin Morales]], and more. In 2018, she competed in season two of ''World of Dance'' alongside her partner Marcus Sarjeant.

In 2016, Avery was featured on NBC Little Big Shots season one.  She danced on Pointe with Josiah German.  That year she also auditioned for ''So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation'' alongside fellow young dancers and colleagues [[Ava Cota|Ava ]]Brooks, [[Bostyn Brown]], [[Tate McRae]], [[Gavin Morales]], and more. 2017 brought Avery the Gold Medal at YAGP Finals for Pas De Deux.  This was extrodinary because she competed in the 9-18 category and she was only 12.  That year she also won The Dance Awards for a second time and was given the title of Junior Best Dancer.  In 2018, she competed in season two of ''World of Dance'' alongside her partner Marcus Sarjeant and accompanied by choreographer by Josie Walsh.
